Tuesday, September 21st – A couple of weeks ago we watched and listened in Slidell, Louisiana as Ken Feinberg discussed the Gulf Coast Claims Facility, of which he is in charge; responsible for compensating victims affected by the spill throughout the Gulf. The video below showcases some of the public’s major concerns, which often centered around insufficient payouts and a general dissatisfaction with the people involved in the process. Many claimants spoke how they had routinely been dismissed by GCCF representatives on the phone, often quite rudely. Feinberg, who spearheaded the September 11th victim’s compensation fund, steadfastly supports his Facility, standing behind the large figures that they have given out in emergency payments.
